Who Can Join?
Adults: You must be 21 years of age or older to join CWES or participate in CWES events.
Wine Experts and Novices: Whatever your current expertise, if you would enjoy getting together with
others to learn about and experience fine wine, we invite you to join CWES.

What does it cost?
Annual Dues: Annual dues are $18 per person; $36 for a couple.
Programs and Events: A typical program fee is $30. Some fees vary based on the program and are noted in the monthly program announcement.
Guest Rates: Nonmembers may attend as guests and pay a slightly higher fee. A typical guest rate program fee is $35.

What can I expect as a CWES Member?
CWES gives members the opportunity to make friends and enjoy each other's company while learning about the world of wine.
CWES organizes a variety of entertaining, educational programs aimed at enhancing the appreciation of wine. Members come from all walks of life, but
share a common interest in good wine, good food, and good friends.
Email Announcements: An email will be sent to you with the details of each program or special event.
Monthly Tasting Programs: CWES holds a 2-hour tasting program on the second Wednesday of each month at EB Hamilton Hall at the Fort Vancouver Historic Reserve. A program usually includes:
- A Theme: such as a particular grape varietal, wine region or wine style.
- A Guest Speaker: wine industry experts, wine makers, food professionals, wine educators and authors.
- A Social Wine
- Several Tasting Wines
- Food Bites: foods created to complement the featured wines.
- Wine Raffle
Annual Wine Picnic: Each August, watch for the announcement.
Annual Christmas Sparkling Wine Tasting: Each December, watch for the announcement.
Winery Tours: Enological Society sponsored excursions to vineyards and wineries in Oregon and Washington.
Reciprocal Membership Benefits: CWES members may attend events at other chapters of the Enological Society of
the Pacific Northwest at member rates. See the links page

Special Tastings: Occasional, short notice opportunities to taste wine and meet with
nationally and internationally known wine personalities when they visit.
Participation: The quality of the society is dependent on the participation of members. To get the most out of
your membership you are encouraged to participate in all aspects of the society's activities and organization. Committee and wine event jobs are
always fun and available. Serving on the board of directors is another rewarding option. Committees include:

How do I join?
Membership Form: Print out the Membership Application.
Fill it out and send it along with your dues check to the address given. You will receive new member information in the mail.
Member Directories: On the Membership Application please indicate whether
or not you wish your address and/or phone number to be included in the Member Directory.
Volunteer Interests: On the Membership Application please indicate on the survey
which activities you are most interesed in helping with.
How did you hear about us: On the Membership Application please indicate how you first learned about CWES.
